The Fiesta ST really was a hoot to be driven around in, and I know you’re dead set on the Recaro seat option. However, I can’t remember where I had read about it, but the seats can wear you down over time.

It leaves me in an awkward position to recommend a car like the Volkswagen GTI because its seats are a nice balance between being supportive and comfortable. However, I still question the long-term reliability of any Volkswagen, especially a first model year of the seventh generation GTI. At the very least, if I was in a position to get a new car right now, I would consider leasing the car (something I’ve refused to do in the past).

Overall though, I’m just glad that hot hatchbacks are making a comeback. That means dads like us can “have our cake and eat it, too.”
